Free users (no account)

If you play without signing up, we collect no personal data. Your progress is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We cannot access, read, or transfer this data.

Premium users (account holders)

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (for login and account recovery)
  • Learning progress data (words learned, scores, session statistics)
  • Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see your full card number)

How we use your data

  • To provide cloud-synced learning progress across your devices
  • To power the spaced repetition algorithm for optimal word scheduling
  • To process payments for Premium subscriptions
  • To send important account notifications (no marketing without consent)

Cookies & local storage

We use localStorage in your browser to save game progress and preferences for free users. This storage is essential for the service and stays on your device unless you clear site data.

Analytics (optional)

With your consent (via the cookie banner), we load Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to understand how the site is used (for example pages viewed and basic interactions). These tools may set cookies or use similar storage. We do not turn them on until you choose Accept analytics.

If you choose Essential only, those scripts are not loaded. You can change your mind anytime via Cookie settings in the footer (your choice is stored locally in your browser).

Premium accounts may use essential cookies for secure login when that feature is enabled.

Data sharing

Free users: Clear your browser data to remove all progress. We have nothing stored on our end.

Premium users: You can request full account deletion at any time by emailing us. We will delete all your data within 30 days.
